I was taking a walk through the garden, checking for new growth and was very happy with what I found! The Lilacs and Clematis are budding and leaves (Gladiolas)? are busting through the soil! Yay!

There are some lovely veggies on their way in our garden. Today I checked in and saw an abundance of tomatoes growing big, a few cucumbers (much bigger than yesterday), and our first eggplant! The raspberries should be on their way soon too! Raspberry Trees…

Over the past few days, our second clematis vine (on the left side of the arch) has flowered. It’s funny how much different this side is from the other. The blooms are not as bountiful on this side and the leaves are much more dainty.

The first clematis to bloom this year is neither of the ones growing on our arbor – it’s one that the neighbours took out years ago. It’s coming back now beautifully on our side. This is one of the first beautiful flowers.

Roobert is exactly like his Momma and “General” Jelly. They both love to lay on the picnic table and bathe in the sun. We’re going to have to be careful with him this summer. His naked black skin will burn easily.
