I decided that I should do some harvesting today so that our beautiful vegetables did not go to waste (the girls are in Peterborough and I was hoping to wait until they got back to pick them). What a bountiful harvest it was. This is the first year that we have grown broccoli and it is doing amazingly well. We have about 4 plants and the first is ready to harvest today as it looks like it may be at the brink of flowering. Momma did some research today and they said to harvest immediately if signs of flowers appeared. We tried a few different types of tomatoes this year and many are ready today. The cucumbers are going to be as plentiful as they were last year it seems. A beautiful bounty today indeed.
